Mr. Klug

     Mr. Klug began his career in education in 1999 at Overlea High School as an English teacher and coach. In 2006, he moved into a department chair and facilitator role at Hereford High School, which provided him with his first leadership experience. Following this, Mr.Klug served as the ninth grade dean at Dundalk High School and assistant principal in the Dundalk Extended Day Learning Program, where he honed his skills as an administrator, mentor, and advocate for the underserved population in the southeast area of the county. For the past ten years as the assistant principal and principal at Catonsville Center for Alternative Studies, he has continued his mission to help students achieve their highest potential by leading the alternative center to better understand the challenges our students face and implement strategies to ensure our students’ success.

     Mr. Ellison has dedicated over nineteen years to the field of education, bringing a wealth of experience as both a teacher and an administrator. He began his career in 2007 at J.F. Kennedy High School in San Antonio, Texas, where he taught Information Technology. In 2011, he and his family (wife and three daughters) relocated to Silver Spring, Maryland, where he continued his passion for technology education by teaching IT Systems Support at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.

     His leadership path began when he was appointed IT Academy Coordinator with Prince George’s County Public Schools, a role that provided his first opportunity to impact students and educators beyond the classroom. Building on this experience, Mr. Ellison transitioned into school administration, serving as Assistant Principal with Dorchester County Public Schools from 2020 to 2022. In the aftermath of the pandemic, he joined Baltimore County Public Schools as Assistant Principal at Parkville High School, where he continued to support student achievement and schoolwide growth.

     Currently, Mr. Ellison proudly serves on the administrative team at CCFAS, where he remains committed to fostering student success, supporting faculty and staff, and upholding a culture of academic excellence.

     Mr. Ellison earned his Bachelor of Arts & Applied Science from Texas State University and a Master’s in Educational Management. He further advanced his credentials by completing the Administrator I Endorsement at Bowie State University.
