Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
What is PBIS?
-At CCFAS, we believe in rewarding students who attend school regularly, behave in a way that adds value and positivity to the school climate, and who work hard every day on the academic tasks presented to them.
-We have a number of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports for our students such as CCFAS Point Sheets.
-Students can earn Points in class and during Flex-Time Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their Point sheets and should turn them in to their mentors at the end of each school day. Teachers and staff will be looking for students who are:
1. Productive
- Use time wisely to complete tasks and activities.
- Strive for excellence in their actions
- Limit distractions to their work.
2. Respectful
- Respecting the personal space of others
- Use respectful language.
-Respect others and ideas that are different from their own.
3. Ownership
- Accountable for their words and actions.
-Advocate for their needs.
-Ask questions when they need clarity.
4. Safe
- Contribute to a space that is physically and emotionally safe for everyone.
- Avoid unkind words and actions.
The points that students earn can be used at the School Store to "buy" prizes, snacks, and other items available at the school store.
Points earned, as well as attendance, grades, and behavior, can be used to determine eligibility for incentive trips to fun places.
